Thursday the wind was really whipping around here. I heard a loud POP and the electricity went off for less than a minute. 20 minutes later the Electric co. was working on the pole up the road from us, the one just past the fuses. Putting up a new transformer.
That's just an intro, my grandson was over today and he said they had a power failure about 5 miles away that lasted a lot longer. Less than a mile down the road from his house the power co. was pulling wild grapevine off of one of their poles and broke off the pole which fell over on their truck. He said the pole was really rotten right at ground level.
