Diesel fuel additive

Mixing Gasoline with your diesel fuel has not been recommend for over 30 years. It's very explosive. Especially when someone thinks it's just diesel fuel.

I use Sea Foam. Sea Foam can be used to fill new fuel filters instead of diesel fuel.

At our company we find water to be the biggest problem. We use isopropyl for that the fuel is rarely the problem. If the fuel does cause trouble we use power service 911.

I mix 2 cycle oil with either Stanadyne fuel additive or Texas Refinery diesel additive.. 4 to 6 ounces of this concoction at every fill-up keeps my Stanadyne-Roosa Master injector pump happy..

number 1 diesel or gas. the rest are a joke with this new diesel. the minute you over treat; it moves the jell point up; not down.
this info comes directly from fuel companies. then you have to find out if fuel was treated at the terminal; that makes a big difference on what rate of additive. number 1 diesel for a pre treatment or gas when it's jelled up.
i do like power service or howe's to fill up the filter when i change it.

(quoted from post at 19:04:52 02/01/13) Howes......it's the best. Keeps the fuel from gelling and gives lubricity to your pumps and injectors.
I also use howes for the same reason. I haven't gelled up since I switched from power service.

I've been an owner/operator for 20 years and I only use Power Service. The only time I treated my fuel and had a problem in cold weather was when I used Howes. Just my experience, you mileage may vary. As for treating fuel causing the pour point to rise, that is just BS.
