OT We're Proud of Our Daughter

Our daughter is 19 1/2 yrs old and she starts her new part time job tomorrow. She's going to work for "In-Bev" formerly "Anheuser Busch Brewery" in St. Louis Mo. She'll just be working part time which is weekends only, for $28 an hour.

I hope her the best of luck as she is a full time Student in college also. Hopefully what she is studying in school will help her get on full time in her field at the Brewery.

PS. Once she turns 21 they get 2 cases of free beer every month...maybe that will make up for college tuition...LOL!!!

Sounds like an up and coming dynamic lady, best to you and her.
 
Years ago they used to let employees drink on the job. I think they stopped that around the mid eighties. My daughter goes to UMSL and passes the brewery every day.
 
You should be proud. Do you think your daughter could get you and a few hundred of your friends a ride on the big red wagon? LOL congrats on a working kid.

When I was younger before I was married I knew if I had a daughter I wanted her to take Karate for her own benefit and this is where it all started. She became a black belt, started teaching and working the front desk there. The kids loved her and so did the parents. There was one set of parents that both work at the brewery and the Mrs. told our daughter of the openings they had there. It took 3 months to get to where she's at.
 
$ 28 per hour !!!!! Holy cow !!!!

Here in Ohio min. wage to $9 or $10 if your lucky to start anywhere.
 
Good for her. I just bet she is one that will work hard. They better take care of her so she will stay. I always tell young people to check everything out until you reach 25, and then you better know what you want to stay with.
 
Great place, down by Soulard Farmer"s Market and all. I was really impressed by the plant tours, from what I could see they really enforce their confined-space-entry rules and electrical code work. Proably a great place. i know it"s great beer.
