Length (inches): 147
Height to Radiator (inches): 78.1

Perhaps someone else will provide the width

(quoted from post at 11:10:19 01/30/13) have to pick up a jd r in tenn. need to know weight, length and how wide it is. thanks Dale

I sold mine years ago. Did you get an oak 2x4 to help with the steering?
They were a real bear to steer. Width will depend on tires.

Width shouldn't matter- it'll be too heavy for a car trailer with external fenders (which are usually about 80 inches apart) anyhow, so I assume you'll be hauling it on a larger gooseneck flatbed with 8'6" wide bed, and wheels under the deck. Never seen a "car trailer" with GVW over about 7,000 lbs.,

LOL yea dad had one. Get to the end of the field, stand up, grab the wheel with both hands and stand on the steering brake for the direction of the turn. PS by Armstrong!

Loaded tires and stuck motor. That should be a real treat to get on the trailer- bring your best come-along!

I drove different ones in summers of 1952, 1953, and 1955. None of them were hard to steer. Not sure what you guys are saying !!!

They were long and took longer to turn, but that doesn"t mean they were hard to steer.

Weight: Front 2520
Rear: 4918
Total: 7438 minus operator and no ballast
Length: 147"
Width: 79.5"came with either 14 or 15X34
tires which will cause width
to vary.

Ron, dads was an early model and the steering was well worn. He had it from 74 to around 83.
