Neat pictures. Seeing as how I will never see the place in person, may I ask what is in, and what are some of the individual buildings in the pictures used for? Are they stores or office space or what? Why are all the tractors parked on the street? Thanks, I enjoy pictures.

Thanks for the pics, Sam. Ireland fascinates me, it is a beautiful nation from which my forefathers came. I hope to travel there one day. What little I know of my family is that the Carr's and the Moore's were from the south of Ireland, County Kerry to be exact. Michael Carr came to America sometime around 1900 and worked for the Katy RR, meeting Grace Moore in Sedalia, Mo. Michael told Grace he was 24 when they married and my great grandmother, Florence Mary was born in April, 1912. Grace and Michael welcomed their final child 20 years later, Eleanor. Michael passed away 4 years later and upon his autopsy Grace learned that her husband was not the man of 48 she believed him to be, but in fact a man judged by the corner to be 68 years of age. I like my grandfather bear this man's name as my middle, I understand that he was a quite a charismatic man.

In 2009, I met my Son (a corporate pilot) in Dublin where He was on a layover for a week. We had a blast and drove accross Ireland to see the Cliffs of Moore (sp?). Drank our share of fine Irish beer and whisky and generally had a great time.
Beautiful country, but around Dublin, the greenery is so thick it's like driving through a tunnel and the beautiful sights we expected turned into rare glimlses of the countryside!
Thanks for the pictures!!

Thanks for the photos, enjoyed them as always. I find it most interesting to see the architecture of the original buildings and then the newer buildings such as the schools and such.

Great pictures, Sam. Looks like a wonderful town to live in.
BTW, my ancestors immigrated from Londonderry, NI in 1716, to Londonderry, NH, then eventually to southwestern Virginia. I have it on my "bucket list" to do a pilgrimage back there some day. Interesting to see so many Presbyterian churchs in your town. I come from a long line of Presbyterian ministers, dating back to 1830.
