Waterloo Boy Tractor

I had a good friend that bought a Waterloo Boy tractor years ago. He found the serial number on the end of the crankshaft where you crank start it. Have to remove the crank hub to get to the crankshaft.

He also found out that the man who designed the Waterloo Boy Engine worked for the Hart Parr company before coming to work for the Waterloo Company.

If you look at the engines in the Waterloo Boy tractor it is very similar to some of the Hart Parr engine is certian model tractors. I can't remember which model Hart Parr though.

I just wanted to share this with all of you.

The engines from waterloo boy and new hart parr are very similar to the point that you could interchange cylinder block .Also a hart parr crank could be modified to go into waterloo boy. But other than that parts are just in relativly the same location on tractor. As far as serial #My waterloo boy crank is not stamped but some may be ??.Paul

My family went the opposite way of that engineer. I had a great uncle who threshed, had a Waterloo Boy. First tractor that my uncle had was an Oliver Hart Parr.
