I hit a wrong key and got Crawler installed.

Somehow I hit one or more wrong keys or mouse strokes and got Crawler installed. Now every time we want Google search, this crazy Crawler window opens. I've tried several things including System Restore to get rid of it, but it keeps coming back.

How do I get rid of it? Thanks

You could try Microsoft's security scanner. Poke Here
MalwareBytes and SpyBot Search & Destroy are also good free options.

Try going to Control Panel and look for "Add/remove" programs. Delete when you find it listed. HTH Pete

Everytime i use google i get a word half typed and it takes me to the wrong site.I have to force it to let me finish the word or phrase.

Try going to the right top of your browser screen (should be where you are at this moment) in the search box there should be a little icon for web crawler, left mouse click on it and see if you get a dropdown pane with the choice that you want. Simple if it works. Let us know. hth WaltMo

What Pete said. Had to do it a few weeks ago. If you just did it,it shouldn't be hard to find. Should be dated today.

If it is not listed in programs to remove look on the top of a page for a seach window with a little magnifying glass and a button next to it.
Hit that button and if crawler comes up you can mangage it from there.
You may also have to go to tools and internet options and set a new default home page.

What browser are you using. Should be a "tools" or "search options" somewhere to click on. From there you can set what search program you want to use.

try cntrl-alt-del and then task manager. If it is running shut it down.

In Internet Explorer click on "Tools" and then "Manage Add-ons". In the next window click on "Search Providers". At he bottom left is a link to find more search providers.Click on that link and click on the Google icon and make it your default search provider.

Got a different computor and it has Google, now have to find a way to get rid of it,had to do same on last one.
