Will my Farmall 450 (gas) pull a set of 8' disc harrows adequately? And will it pull 3-14" moldboard plows adequately?

Yes on both accounts. Should handle a 12 foot disc without opening the governor.

Yep. At 8', you'll be "under-disked".

If it's running well it will play with an 8 ft disk.
With a plow a lot depends on soil conditions but it shouldn't have any trouble with 3/14's.

thats what we pulled with our SMTA in heavy clay ground.So unless it is very sick, yes.

The disc will be no problem. The plow would be PLENTY for it around here.

Should just play with both. We had a 350 and pulled 10' tandem disk and 3-16 plow.

Was rated as a 4 plow tractor, the 350 was the 3 plow rating tractor.

Dad had a 400 and bought a mounted 3-14 plow and a 11 ft disk. I have them both now and pull them with my 450. In this part of the country that plow is enough.
