Looking at an 806 diesel wheatland for sale, the guy told me the pto quit turning, as I'm not familiar with these tractors I was wondering if fixing it meant a split in the tractor or something simpler? A 61 model he thought and I didn't see a TA

I had an early 706 quit working one time. All that was wrong with that one was a small pin that pulls the valve open when you pull up on the lever. Everything was right there in the back.

if it worked fine and just quit, 10 to 1 it's that tiny pin in the valve. 806s were made 63 to 67.

It could be just the pin as others said, it might be low on oil and the level is below the pick up tube.

Dad had a 806 that quit running, so the neighbor was going to fit it for him. towed in 3 miles. needless to say they fixed it ok. You don't tow a hydro that far.

Point the nose downhill and the whole PTO unit unbolts and slides right out the rear.
