Deer hunting and tractor talkin

Hello, I am looking into going west next fall to hunt whitetail deer. I dont want to hunt at a ranch where they run them by and you pay to shoot a monster. I am looking for an experience that will make memories and tell stories! So i figure id post on here and see if any private land owner would invite me to hunt on there land. I am an avid old iron collector that loves to sit around and bs about old tractors as well! I live in Ohio and never been out west to look for old iron, but have herd the stories!

I would suggest you look at some of the hunting forums that are online.
Realtree.com being one of many.
Or google hunting classifieds or hunting forums.
They often have classifieds where you can post a request like that and because they are hunting oriented classifieds you'll find folks there more amenable to hunters.
This place has a lot of folks who for reasons of their own, like to trash talk hunters.

Plenty of places to hunt. I did a deer hunt in NE. A DIY hunt cost me $1500. Lots of walking and very little gettin anything. I don't know where they run them past you as you say. If you had $15K to spend you might find a walk them past you hunt, but if you had $15K to spend on a hunt, you wouldn't be on this sight.
 

If you weren't ashamed of trying to mooch a hunt off someone, you wouldn't mind logging in and posting under your real name.
