white 2-135 hydraulic pump

I recently purchased a replacement hydraulic pump off this site for the 135. Put the pump on & started to hook up lines & all the fittings were different port sizes. I got two adapter fittings but the suction tube from the filter housing will not fit. Wondering if anyone has had this experience & what you did to make it work. The tractor is now dissabled ad plugging up the shop. Please help!

Oh oh! I think you might be running in to what I did when I replaced mine a few years ago. Did you get a new $2200 pump,or a rebulit $950 pump?
The original on mine was an aluminum pump and can't be rebuilt. The one I ordered was a rebuilt cast iron pump. There's a kit that you can get from Agco for two hundred and some odd dollars to change from the old cast iron pump to the new aluminum pump. It has the different lines and fittings. There's no kit to change one the other way though, from aluminum to cast iron.

If you don't know which one you got,try to stick a magnet to the body of the pump. You'll have to check it back on the rounded belly of the pump, not the cap out on the end where the lines hook up. That part is cast on both of them.
There was nothing I could do but send the cast pump back and pay the difference for the aluminum pump.
I don't know what this site's policy is on returns of things like that,I got mine from Ag Parts First. Jerry was real accomodating on the exchange.

The original (wich lasted over 9000hrs somehow) is an aluminum body with a cast end for the ports. New is all cast. It is the same as the 1 now on the 155. It cost $1100 with a $350core charge. If it can't be used why would'nt the guys on this site tell us that. My closest agco dealer is now 150 miles from me, is why i wanted to order through here. I wonder if there is a return if it has already been mounted. Also i'm sure the tractors were made same year and 155 pump hanged at least twice.

The mistake I made was not calling Jerry when I ordered mine. His website didn't say there was a difference, but as soon as I called him,he knew what was wrong. Said he guessed he should change his website to say so. Even if you sent that aluminum pump back to them, you probably wouldn't get credit for the core since it can't be rebuilt.
I had already mounted mine too, even went to the dealer and got the kit because somebody (I think it might have been on here) told me that was what I needed. Found out different as soon as I opened the box and saw that all the parts were just like the ones I already had.
The return address on the cast pump that Jerry sent me was right from some place other than his address. Don't remember if it was A&I or some other rebuild place. That's where I was supposed to send the core, but he had me just send that cast pump back to him instead. The new aluminum pump did come straight from A&I,I remember that.

That's about how many hours I had on mine by the way. 9000-9200,something like that. I don't think I'll be around to get another 30 years or 9000 hours out of the new one.

Now am really confused. Called a&i w/# on ship list and was told that is only pump available with oem#. Told me i should go to hydraulic shop & have a fitting made. I don't even know where there is a hydraulic shop. Besides if they sell it as oem i shouldn't need a fitting made....right?

I'd think. I can't imagine that they'd say the aluminum pump isn't available. Why don't you go up to the top of the page where it says another forum and go over to the Oliver forum. Somebody else over there might know,I just know they got me the right one and that the Agco kit is to change the old cast pump tractors over to the new aluminum pump. If I remember right, the inlet and outlet tubes will work, just takes different fittings, but the case drain line tube off the top is a whole different animal. Comes out the top on the aluminum pump and horizontal off the cast iron.
If all else fails, click the link and get Jerrys number, then call him. He knows these things inside out and like I said, told me what the problem was as soon as I told him what was going on.
Jerrys phone number

Finally got smart & called maibach tractor in ohio. They have the tube to connect the filter housing to the pump $42. He said they don't deal with the cast pumps anymore due to unreliability but this tractor is now relegated to the manure pump so i didn't want to get 25% of the tractors value wrapped up in a repair
