We were digging and putting in a footing for a stone wall 90 ft long,Coverd everything up when we got done. It is in a town called Benardsville NJ ,This guys house is 9,500 sq ft! Who would want a house that big ? I dint take any pictures,once I get to know him better I will ask if he minds if Iput a few pictures on tractor talk,He might go for it ,he does have a Kubota.

That wouldn"t be any big deal in the area I live in as 10,000 sq ft houses are pretty common the largest house I know of in my area is about 10 miles from me and its 35,000 sq ft (not a misprint) has its own theater and indoor Olympic size pool.
Can"t imagine why people want such big houses but they do give alot of people a job to build them.

Friend of James' once said "you need 500 sq ft of living space and 5000 sq ft of storage". I laughed at the time, but ya' know, he's right!

There certainly are some large mansions and estates in that area, I used to live in Basking Ridge, from Morristown, south to there, along both sides of 287 is just loaded with old estates, people never see these areas from the NJTPKE or other highways. I worked in Morristown for a site contractor, I believe is now defunct, but the owners restaurant on John St., before the county lock up, which is literally where we screened topsoil, is still there.

If you head out of Morristown from near the square, and head towards Mendham, same thing and theres a road that you can take a left on not too far outside of Morristown, that heads south to Far Hills, all along that road are massive estates, right back to where Bernardsville is, kind of back road, I used to like taking drives through these areas, after learning of them while at work, that entire area is incredible, was kind of cool to have worked on some of the job sites in that area.

One of my neighbors is the ex wife of the godaddy owner. She built a huge house after her divorce, now it is too big living it there alone.

She is a nice person.

Most likely they employ some people to cook and clean too - if you can find people that will do that kind of work anymore.

If I didnt have to make the house payment, or the tax payment, I would take a 9500 sq ft house.

Something tells me I will be staying right where I am at.
