Congratulations on 39 years. Even in our generation (you do realize we're getting older, don't you? LOL)the divorce rate is much higher than it was with our parent's generation. Marilyn and I have been married 39 years but the only thing from the wedding we have left is the dress, that I know of, unless she has more stashed away somewhere. I don't have my original wedding band anymore. I put it in my pocket while baling hay 30 years ago and it disappeared. She weighs the same as she did when we were married, and thanks to Ms Clairol her hair is still the same dark shade of red. Wish I could say that about myself! Jim

LOL thats funny, "thanks to Ms Clairol". Mine is still the same weight when we married too. Her hair is still black for the same reason! I display my gray with pride, I earned every one.

Congrats to you and Marilyn too!

Congratulations Rick, hope you two see many more together!
Every relation ship has a keeper, which of you two gets the gold star???
:>)))

We're closing in on 43 - Wife has the wedding dress somewhere. After the wedding, she took it to a dry cleaner - told them to package it for archival storage. Opened it a few years back, they didn't do a very good job.... Doubt if the flowers survived either. Wife has lost quite a bit of weight after her last illness, bet she could easily fit into the dress now.

Well, we've got you by 15 years, but I think you'll make that and then some.

We found the secret to staying together when our kids were teenagers. We made a pact that, if it got so bad that one of us had to leave, that poor devil had to take the kids with them.

It worked!

I lost my wife of almost 45 years last May to, I agree completely. It sure is taking a lot of getting used to

You guys make me feel like a newly wed. We celebrated 35 years a few weeks ago. Although I didn't make the plunge until I was 26.

wife and I got married in September of 1950! I'm getting along well. no sickness. Wife Ruth is going down hill from emphysema, a product of years of smoking cigs!Lays in bed a lot, i'm doing some cooking, i go out for supper about 4 times a week-she just can't do anything much any more. A sad affair. Many times i told her to quit smoking, but, she always said: "Why quit? They aren't bothering me!" But, they have, and now she's paying the price. I am not leaving her-will be here as long as she is. Hopefully!
