we have a farmall 504 that power steering squeals when you steer it. It has a loader on it and the two remotes work good with it,therefore we think the pump ok. Raised front end and steering seems to be free. Changed hyd filter with no change. The steering has mechanical linkage to front with assist unit under steering wheel. That"s where the squeal is. Any thoughts? thanks Dale

Relief valve is probably making the noise. I would raise the front axle and grease the front spindle bearings pauing particular attention to the thrust bearing at the bottom of the spindle where the tractor and loader weight are applied. When lifted, the thrust bearing can get grease into the components easier than when under pressure.
Taking the spindles apart might be needed. Jim

If the pump is belt driven, it probably is the belt screaming! Be sure the belt is tight, and spray some belt dressing on the belt while running.
