Went to PA yesterday.I took a few pictures of a big farm that was sold years ago,The whole farm was going to be developed, and a row of houses were built up along the road, When the developement was approved the township made the developer set aside property for a recreation area for the town. I think they were going to have playing fields too,but Im not sure, There was a pond on the old farm, that is made into a little park like setting. The old farm building are deteriorating, and since the building bubble burst no more houses are being built so far...I have driven by this area for many years, yesterday was the first time I drove into the parking spot for the recreation area and took some pictures. It is open for the public to use for picnics, there is a few tables down by the pond.I would have walked down closer to the pond and took pictures, but it was so windy I stepped out of the truck and took long shots! I f the housing boom kept up all of the big fields in the picture would be houses. Back 15 years ago,we used to get letters in the mail to see if we were interested in selling our farm. Just about everyone told me I was nuts to keep on working and not sell our farm. It is not as valuable now, because of the house building slow down, maybe they were right, but who knows.
