Just got the news from the cardiologist, i get released today from the hospitlal. Gotta take a crp load of pills, and start rehab therapy, for prolly a couple monts. Cant lift more than a gallon jug of milk for a while. Heart attacks suck!!!!!!!! Also wantnto thank everybody for all the words of encouragement and prayers. Glenn

Good deal, and as mentioned, follow the doctors instructions. Easy to over do it on the days when you're feeling good, but that could give you an even bigger setback.

Congrats, Glennster. And take care as the docs say so you will be around for your wife and kids. Bet you will still be posting here in 15-20 years, they can do amazing stuff now days.

Glad you are going home. Like I said this heart attack might have saved your life.

The rehab should go well. It sounds like your heart attack was luckly a mild one if any of them can be called that.

Good to hear that your OK and on your way home.

Hope your doctor told you to lay off the "horseshoe" sandwiches.

You be sure to take it easy and don"t let [b:654c4848f0]kruser[/b:654c4848f0] talk you into any roadtrips!

Gleenster,

Glade to hear the good news.
NOW... behave yourself, and take yous meds. Before you know it you'll be good as new. Take care and post your progress.

Guido.

That's good news. I'm sure slowing down will be tough for you. A freind of mine who had a massive attack and was brought back told his wife next time don't try to save him cause he doesn't want to go through that kind of suffering again. Jim

Was not allowed to drive for 6 weeks and rehab did not start for a few weeks after. I could not do that tho as I had a torn rotator cuff that after 7 months the dr. decided I was well enough to go under the knife again. Was a full year before I felt like working again but that second surgery I am sure held me back. Think I had one about noon as I got real bad back pain for possibly 15 minuts and went away (A bone Dr. was treating me for back pain, since my heart atack I have not had the back pain) so I thought it was that. Then about 15 minuts after went to bed chest started hurting, took a few tums and thought that would take care of it, was not long till woke up wife and said I was heading to hospital. Had 2 that were over 95% blocked with 3 over 85% and where the blockages were they could not use the stents. 5 cuts in one leg and 4 in the other where they took veins. I was 67 when it was done and now am 69 so your age being younger may help.

Hey Buddy, good job! I'm glad it went well for you so far...behave yerself! We need ya at next years Illinoiz YT roundup!

A fella a mile down the road from me had massive HA about 8 years ago. He was dead for a few minutes, got his heart going with a defib unit. He now jogs and stays in shape, he was not overweight. I think he was in his mid-40s when it happened.

Take it easy, eat right, you may have to take blood thinners too. Good luck.

Six years ago I was 64 years when I started having upper chest pains when I ran or worked hard. Went to my doctor on a Monday and had a EKG in his office. Said he didn't like what he saw and scheduled me for a stress test at heart center on Wednesday and on Friday I was at Ohio State University hospital and had 2 stents put in. Was home on Saturday and was combining beans on Tuesday. I had no damage to my heart, but was well on my way to more damage. I encourage anyone to have these preliminary tests done.

Glad to here it has went so well for you, good that it was caught and treated early, follow docs orders to the letter,

It's nice to be able to go to the hospital when something goes wrong. It's even nicer to leave in a car. Glad you got your discharge papers, just don't re-up soon, follow the doc's instructions. Stan

Glad to hear you got out and home. Follow the Drs. orders or the Central Illinois YT Enforcer Squad will pay you a visit. LOL. Chris

Glad youre going home. Now get a pedometer so you will know how much walking doing on a regular basis. Walk to check on those cows instead of riding the 4 wheeler. Just kiding!! Do as doctor recommends.

Glad to hear that Glenn.
Bet that's not the way you planned on spending this weekend!
Hope SWMBO checked your traps for you.

Jim

Glad to hear you are on the mend! Take it easy for awhile and obey the Dr.'s orders. Many don't get the second chance! :D

Glennster Glad to hear you are doing well, now think of the time you will have to be on the computer with your friends from YT!!!!!

Glad your home. I have to go back in for the left main within the month. Won't to go back to work next week but have got to see what the doctor says

That is great news! Follow your doctor's instructions re medications and diet to the letter and you will be back to normal before you know it.

Gotta be great to be going home! Just follow the doctors orders and give yourself time to heal. We're all praying for you.

You know? I appoligize, but I didn't know about it until now. I'm glad that you are doing better, much better. I didn't know a thing about this until just now though. I wish you the best recovery. Do me a favor? If you get time, let me, us, that didn't know, what happened. I'm almost 53 and its time to start watching, watching for symptoms of all sorts of things. Just come on all of a sudden? Been building? I should be taking better care of myself. Happen carrying bags of seed? What happened? Thanks in advance Glen, if you don't mind.

Again, I wish you the sincerest get well very soon.

Mark
