This is relevant to the split rim post. Once I had a flat with a dayton
(split) wheel. The young individual remove all of the nuts and left the
wedges tight. He smacked the wheel with a sledge. I was standing a
safe distance away. I did not help him find all the wedges. Once I had
a hub pilot wheel come loose on a trailer because somebody did not torque it down properly. Not fat from here we had a young man killed "ethering"
a combine tire. For the benefit of those "Good Men" who just do not know it behooves the more experienced among us to teach these lessons. People
die all the time from "I didn't know". BTW; Across from the truck stop there
was a John Deere tractor with a field cultivator.
