Need Help with Two Row Corn Planter

Hi, I just picked up this planter for next to nothing (I know it looks like I got what I paid for). I want to take it all a part remove all the old paint and kill the rust, then repaint it and set it up. I'm sure it was an old Horse/Mule drawn planter that had a three point hookup welded on. I'm planing on using it (on my 59 Farmall 140), not making it a "show" piece of it. The farmer I got it from didn"t know the make of it, but it was in use two years ago. I think some parts are missing, but I have no idea what brand this is or where to get different seed plates for it. I"d love to get a manual that says what it should have on it and how to change settings. The seed plates on it now are for corn and the plate holder says "wide corn only" on it. I"ve searched the internet over and can not find any seed plates that match the ones on it. With out knowing the brand, I have no direction to look. I"m hopeing some of you might be able to help. I thought it might be a JD, but the seed plates are not the same. I"ll try to attach some pictures. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Sorry for my long first post.
Opps,Sorry, I up loaded the same picture twice and can not remove it or one of the others that are not needed. I'll know better next time.

I have one very similar and If I would have to guess I would say that it is a Black hawk planter.

Yes it is a Black Hawk and there are no parts avaible and the books and I have them are worthless in doing anything. Last June I rebuilt one with the tractor hitch. Before the auction talked to my Amish machinery jocky and said there were to but you do not want them, he said I do so got them and redid the one with tractor hitch, said I could not spend any time doing the one with the horse hitch. He now has 3 of them that he cannot sell. Out of the 2 could actually have made one decent planter. Back when they were new they were the competion to the John Deere 999 and were considered as good. Cockshutt got the company and did not do much with them and as a result no parts avaible.

Thanks for the replys. Now at least I know the brand and something about this and why I got it for next to nothing.
