OT January Thaw...

I looked in my freezer and found these. I love the January Thaw...LOL!

I rolled them in some egg and milk then in crushed crackers.

They were good!!!

Up in Godfrey IL. these mushrooms sell for $25 a pound.

Common in Northern Indiana. Way delicious.
When hiking in Arizona on a cliff in a canyon 30 miles from electricity, I found 7 3 to 5 inch Morels. My companions were extremely reluctant to eat them, as in these are (or could be) poison mushrooms !!!!! If there is an identifiable delicacy in the mushroom family, that is it. I sauteed them in butter and served them with eggs easy over. Almost too good. Jim
