A farmer in Ohio is looking for the big round fenders and side shields for the 04 tractor they're restoring or knows where reproductions can be purchased. Hal

I think finding a set in good condition without buying the whole tractor would be harder than finding a needle in a haystack.
But then again stranger things have happened.

The owner is willing to pay to have them made. I don't know if there's any old parts are still on the tractor. Here's a picture of an 0-4 that probably looks better than when new. Hal

I think he will have a very tough time trying to find for a 1938 O4 tractor as they were based on the Farmall H that was introduced as a 1939 model and the serial number list on here only has the O4 starting in 1940. For a 1938 it would have to be a O14 based on the F14 tractor. So would make a big difference if it is an O4 or a 1938 model.

The real point is no matter what year it is or model finding 70 year old orchard fenders as a seperate sale in good condition is going to be tough and probably very expensive.

The O-4 was first made in Oct of 1940. They were made in a minimun of 11 tractors in the first batch. I have that 11th tractor. Unfortunately I have had to buy 3 more tractors to get the parts I need for the eldest one and stil do not have everything I need. A guy in Moline Illinois area did make them but as far as I know he has stopped producing them now. He is on here so maybe he will chime in. Unfortunately I don't know of any other reproductions being made now.
