Central Illinois YT Round Up - Update

By the governing board of directors(ie. derelicts), the 2013 Central Illinois YT Roundup will be held Saturday January 12 at Crusen's - 2117 West Farmington Road in Peoria, Illinois.

Crock Tales and Introductions will begin around Noon and will probably eat around 1:00 when President oleblu can show. Food includes burgers, tenderloins, horseshoes, pizza, chili, salads, etc.

Please let me know if you can make it by this forum (or email - open) so we can let them know how many to expect. You can also contact me if you need more specific directions.

As Evilbowevil said, it's a little far for me to particpate...about 1200 miles, I'd guess.

I do hope y'all have a great time, and someone better have a tenderloin for me. Back in '56, I had a job at a locker plant/wholesale restaurant supply business...I have no idea how many breaded tenderloins I made and delivered to the local eating places.

Down here, nobody has ever heard of tenderloins unless they're from the good ol' Midwest.

Back in '57, I worked on a farm over by Altona, so I have fond memories of your stomping ground.

Ya Stan,
I've had my share of tenderloins! Thin ones, thick ones - Some with catchup and onions, some with pickle, onion and relish.

Questions IS: You ever have a horseshoe?

OK, I'll bite (bad joke, eh?) What's a "horseshoe". Dad had horses on the farm over in central Indiana 'til the mid-'50s, but they weren't shod.

Horseshoe is a slice of bread or bun with meat on top,covered w/french fries ,then whole thing is covered with melted cheese. Seems to be peculier to central Ill. Have never seen them anywhere else .Very tasty but not very heart healthy What the he!! nobody lives forever

Unless i get forced into working overtime i"ll be there for sure. I"ll let billonthefarm know also. Not sure if he will be able to go or not. I"ll be sure the guys over this way get there with no problem. And by the way oleblu even in the city its perfectly ok to wave at the guy across the intersection whos waving at you!
