WAYNE-N-TX 12-27-2012 17:38:53 4.90.58.101 Report to Moderator	Has anyone buying red diesel at the pump found a different nozzle? I buy my diesel approximately 20 gallons at a time, I’m small time. Today I tried to fill my yellow diesel cans and there is a ring on the end of the nozzle, now and it will not go into the container. So I got diesel all over me and my truck trying to get 20 gallons. Finally said the hsll with it and turned my card into the owner. No more from that place. Is this where we’re going? Is this obummer or the Texas obummer (dip crap perry)? [Reply]   [No Email]

I have been paying 80 cents to $1 more for diesel at the local Mobil then the price of unleaded regular gas. Last 5 gals cost me $21, 4.20/gal. As I only use about 100 gallons a year, only $100 a year more. #2 dyed red heating oil is 3.35/gal right now. I have a 275 gal tank of it in the basement. Thinking its time to just start using that in my TLB. Just the convenience of not having to go to Mobil to get the diesel would make it worth it. Thinking I will just setup a hose down filler pipe and pump right at tractor tank. I always add Power Service + Cetane Boost already so no change there. Pete [Reply]  [No Email]

Huge wedge shaped snout on the filler valve. Had to go back home for a funnel. Needed the kerosene to thin out the summer diesel for winter use. [Reply]  [No Email]

I think you have those stores there. With their rewards card, I buy 30 gal. of diesel at a time for sometimes as low as $2.65 a gallon. Then if I want I can file for a tax refund on the taxes. That's a lot cheaper than using off road diesel, even without the tax refund. [Reply]  [No Email]

Proably reason for different nozzle. I buy mine 100 gal at time cause have that size tank on trailer and it has 4in pipe cap on it. [Reply]  [No Email]

Makes a nice 5 gallon package and the containers have a LARGE cap for easy filling. And they won't tip over in the PU. Plus 2.5 is a lot handier lifting up over the SMTA hood. [Reply]  [No Email]

Texas Governors office, or President of the United States? When you win one or the other, no doubt removing the metal ring on diesel nozzles will be first on your agenda! My local Co-Op has both, the large high volume for filling tractors and the smaller one for filling cans and such. Ask the guy trying to fill up his 100 to 200 gallon tank which he prefers to use. Yea, he wants to get back out in the field the same day. You have a couple of options. Take along a funnel, but since you turned in your card and said you won't go there again I suppose that option is out. Or, just buy the over the road non die fuel for a few cents more a gallon. At 20 gallons per visit I don't think you'll break the bank. [Reply]  [No Email]

I manage a fuel plant in Mo and all our Diesel pumps have the big nozzles like your talking about. All our new pumps are high speed, high volume, so they require bigger nozzles. Also because people are in a hurry and dont pay attention, so they put a nozzle that wont fit in car gas tanks. I have seen lots of people try to use diesel in gas cars. It does suck with gas cans, I keep a funnel handy for customers to use for cans. Scott [Reply]  [No Email]
