Still having blizzard conditions here in North East Iowa.Have to leave early tomorrow for Marinette, WI. Just wondering where the back end of this storm is and what it's like up through Madison and North.

16 " of snow in Verona which is just outside of Madison. Coming down anywhere from 1-2 inches per hour.

Winds are holding about 20-25 miles per hour but projected to kick up tonight. Will be some major drifting tonight.

Lots of accidents on interstate.

Good luck.

Take some food, water as well as blankets.

I live near the Dells area 45 miles NW of Madison. I think you need to change your plans or delay for one day. You could not have chosen a worse direction for your travels.

We have 15-18" of snow and 50 mph gusts...strong winds to continue tonight and thru all of tomorrow. Everything is shut down today and tonight...all schools, meeteings, businesses, etc.

Roads will be very slippery if they are even open to traffic tomorrow. Snow is moving horizontally so much I will only clear part of my driveway until Saturday when the winds are to die down.

I own a 4-wheel drive Tahoe, have driven everything up to 18 wheelers and would not think of travelling to where you want to go and the state patrol will not be welcoming. You will be simply adding to everyone"s problems. The storm went thru here and directly towards Green Bay area.

Lambeau Field and seats will be cleared of snow with hundreds of eager helpers tomorrow and Saturday in time for the Pack/Titan game on Sunday. They use long snowslides to get the snow onto the field, then endloaders move it out just like Clay Mathews clears out bad guys.

GO PACK!

All the news channels tonight say all schools in central and east-central Wisconsin will be closed tomorrow. Also many businesses closed.

Winds tonight up to 50 mph, continued strong winds tomorrow. At present the winds thru our trees near the house making howling sounds.

Stations all pleading for us to stay off the roads tomorrow.

Pretty Wisconsin is not so pretty for another day.

Correction: Packers are asking 600 people to show up tomorrow to clean Lambeau Stadium of snow, pay is $10 per hr and min age of 16. They won't have any trouble getting helpers...this is an old tradition in Green Bay.

Recipe for a tasty winter treat: Get 2 qts of snow (yes, the white snow), add 2 cups of milk, add 2 tablespoons of vanilla and add 1/2 cup of suger. Mix it up and you are in for a tasty treat! Drinking it as I type.
