Troopers VS Tractor Case sent To Grand Jury

He'll walk off on a lesser charge. I don't know if that's right of not, but that's the way things work.

good idea. any idea how many innocent farmers and their families have been killed or injured by these things and their attachments over the years. THE TIME IS NOW! lol Just had a similar incident here in NE this week. I guess some people are closer to the edge than others.

Saw an episode of "Worlds Dumbest" on Tru TV the other night. A drunk got arrested for a DIW. He was driving a nice original CASE 412 tractor on a rural hwy. somewhere in the south.

Reminds me of when the game warden was chasing the neighbor for poaching. His dads Farmall 400 with a mounted picker was sitting in the field in the dark. He jumped on and charged the patrol car with it. That boy was always in so much trouble,I couldn't tell you just what he did get out of that one. I just know that eventually he got seven and a half to fifteen for involuntary manslaughter when he ran a stop sign drunk and killed somebody.

Don't forget farmer Pion who ran over a half dozen sheriffs cars in Barre VT last spring. Those farm tractors are much to dangerous to have around. They need to limit all farm equipment to 50HP or before you know it they will be flattening schools.

3000 kids were killed by drunk drivers in 2011. 311 by "distracted drivers'. (Texting). Ban the cell phones and booze.

Quoting Showcrop "Don't forget farmer Pion who ran over a half dozen sheriffs cars in Barre VT last spring."

Don't call that guy a farmer. He just loser who grew up on a farm. It was his father's tractor that he used.

Also, it was near Newport, not Barre.

So what if you have been on the neighboring farm, minding your own business, hauling bales, and the cops come flying up, guns drawn? Mistaken identity.

Could happen with the quality of the deputies we have around here.

Well Gene, in general terms, if you put your hands up and don't charge them with a tractor, they ID you and realize you aren't the guy they wanted. Not all cops are the brightest bulbs, but darn near all of them can read and look at a picture on an ID.
