Woke up to white stuff and big wind

Well got up this morning to snow falling and wind so hard that it blew the tail fin off my windmill. Now I'll have to take the top part off and weld the tail fin back on so it knows which way the wind is coming from

south west of des moines iowa 35 mi not a lot of snow maybe 6 in.but drifting 3-4 ft cant see is worst of it

Walford, Ia just SW of Cedar Rapids White stuff blowing guessing 6-8" and power just came on.

Hey Old, Merry Christmas to you! Up here in Mid Mo it's still blowing and snowing. Cold as the dickens too. Good to see you on here, hope you nad everybody else on this site has a Merry Christmas, so many people including you have helped me so much this past year with really good advice. Thanks to all

NE KS. just came in from chores to eat some lunch. It is still windy and cold out there. The tire tracks drift shut by the time you go back through the gate. I was sure glad to be using the big truck today with a good heater. It wasn't until today that I remembered that I never cleaned out the defroster on the truck. 55 years of wheat dust can be a surprise to the face in the middle of winter!

They said bitter cold should be moving in before long.

Central Wisconsin, we already have 12 inches of snow and very strong winds. And more snow coming.

Every thing shut down; schools, colleges, many stores, etc.

Blizzards are very good for catching up on eating and naps.

They claim we had 4" of snow here and wind gusts of 55 MPH.

It beats me how they can tell how much it snowed with winds like that.
All the snow is mostly around buildings and etc. in the form of drifts.
The fields were mostly blown bare of snow (where it was really needed).
Winds have since died down and the sun has been shining all day.
