Old Cider Press with pics. Info?

My gram had this in her basement and I have it in our garage. Patten dates from 1872. Casting date of June 26, 1877. Pretty rough shape and I believe its missing a few metal parts. Although i have it together and the grinder has all the parts and the whole press is there. I am going to remake all the wood. Anyone ever heard or seen one like this? Any info would be appreciated as I am at a loss. If i can't find anything I'll just make some plans and go from there.

Well, looks like you got y'erself a gen-ewine anteek! Looks like you have a good foundation to work with, though. I think the wooden parts were all quite similar. They shouldn't be too difficult.

140 years old, and I bet its still better quality than what you could buy today. A little cleanup, a few parts, and you"ll be good to go.
