John Deere 530 fenders

Did John Deere 530's come with clam shell fenders as an option? Or only flat tops? I want to buy a set of fenders for a 530, and found a nice set of clam shells. Just want to make sure they are "politically" correct for a 530 before buying. My tractor does have the headlights mounted by the dash area, so I'm guessing it never had flat tops on it before.

Available either way. I don't know which was the "optional". I had a 1960 730 Diesel that had clamshells and the lights on the sides of the cast dash.

The flat tops were considered the optional Deluxe option.

Both sets of fenders are correct , and they were an option , many 530s left the factory without fenders

Thanks guys. I'll proceed with the clam shell fenders. They will serve my needs just fine, and the original lights by the dash work fine, so no need to change them either.

Something you might find interesting is the fender prices from a 1961 dealer price book. The clam shell fenders sold for$22.50 and the styled fenders and lights listed for $65.00 when ordered with a new tractor.
