My latest kids christmas project (pics)

Santa is giving my son a ford 8n pedal tractor for Christmas so I built him a hay rack. The running gear is off an old radio flyer wagon. I sand blasted it all and repainted it. The rack is pine that I stained with deck/fence stain. Dimensions are 36" long and 18" wide. I think he will really enjoy it!

That's pretty cool, now you need to build a manure spreader with "politician wangon" on the side. When he's old enough to ask tell him it spreads it almost as well as a politican.

Pretty cool! I only see one minor problem tho, what happens when he has a full load of hay on it and has to stop suddenly?, load falls off the front and under the wagon. Needs a rack on the front end. You still got time to make one.

Very cool! When my oldest son got his pedal tractor I built a tilting trailer he could haul his other riding toys on. I probably had more fun watching him play than he did playing with it.

When my younger son got his pedal tractor I outfitted both tractors with working three point hitches. Over time I made a back blade, box scraper, brush mower, and disc (all painted to match what I had in the shed).

Now both boys have moved on to bigger and better things (cars and girls). Enjoy them while you can...you blink and they're grown up. :)

You are a good father to make that for your son. He will grow up faster than you think and then you will really miss the simple pleasures with them.

One of the biggest regrets I have is not taking the time when my kids where young. It seemed like it took all my time just to make ends meet.

That is totally cool! Great project and I bet you had a lot of fun building it. I am sure your boy will have a blast with it.

Very nice. I've got my fully functional pedal tractor auger all done and painted in the basement. Just need to do the final assembly and it'll be good to go. Will post some pictures when I'm done.

Nice!
I like the 2 tables that they are on in the last couple of pics too.... did you make those too? If so, did you use plans or a drawing or what? Thanks, again... good job!
