I was thinking today about the leaping deere emblem. I like the old one better with the legs out forward, not bent back under like today's emblem. What does everyone here prefer?

The new Deere emblem is like the new Deere company,it is no longer the old family friend it is all busines with no time for the past or little people.Mega dealerships have changed everyone into a number.I prefer the leaping 4 legged Deere from the late 50's to 1970.

That's what I ment that I like the 4 legged Deere! Like the one on my 1968 JD 112 lawn tractor. I think it may be the same on my 346 baler too? Thanks for the correction.

I gotta say - I usually prefer origninals in cases like this - but that four legged deer always looked a little spindly-legged to me.

His front two legs just look odd - mostly his right front leg.

A subtle thing but it turns it from cool to cartoony for me.

Well this is not the answer you wanted but somebody's got to say it. Id prefer a Ford or Valmet badge L.O.L

I was still working when they changed the Logo the last time. They just went from a Deere landing to one leaping. They wanted to show they where leaping forward not landing from the past.

That little change cost the Company over 20 million to change all the signs and such. Real valuable use of money in my opinion, NOT!!!! Some educated Idiot had to come up with a new idea to make it look like they needed him/his job. Should have laid him off and saved double the money.

Yes, I also agree that the company is going down hill as far as I am concerned. They are putting too many of their eggs in one basket. These big regional dealers look good on paper but when this farm economy turns south then will they have the assets to keep 10-20 dealerships all a float. I don't think so. When one of these monsters goes down then JD will lose dealers in a whole area not just one town. Very poor risk assessment.
