To those of you who remember how ugly he was, it finally caught up to him. Today he was sentenced to 9.5 yrs for poisoning his neighbors dogs.

Copy and paste the following for the entire story.

I sincerely hope his wife will be ok.

That is more time than the drunk driver got who killed my 23 yr old nephew and seriously injured his girlfriend. Nephew just back from 2nd tour of duty in Iraq in the Marines, looking to start a new life in civilian society. Had been listening for the word "fiancee," but hadn"t heard it yet. She was a real sweetheart too.
Our family is devistated, heartbroken. This guy only got 72 months.

Ray, that is sad.

Seems a society starts carrying along extra weight and issues, and things get all balled up and out of whack.

72 months is more time than the drunk who hit and killed my first wife and 6 week old child. He got a slap on the wrist and put on probation for 1 year. Hes the only person Im glad is now dead! I just wish he had gotten hit by another drunk and died the same painful death my wife and child did.

Two or three years ago, an NFL player named Donte Stallworth, was drunk and driving above the posted speed limit when he struck and killed a man in Miami.

He pleaded guilty to a felony charge and was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail. He served 24 days and then was released with some kind of probationary limitations.

The man that he killed was crossing the street where there was no crosswalk, but surely, being drunk and speeding exacerbated the situation.

24 days.

Here in Tx, in some cases, the drunk driver is being charged with murder.

I think the justice system is finally becoming intolerant of drunk driving.

Couldn"t have happened to a nicer schmuk. I for one sure have not missed him since he finally vanished...or was banished...or whatever happened to him.
Maybe his cell mate will give him a new outlook on life, we can only hope.

On another note, a comment about the drunk drivers. My half brother was killed by a drunk driver, he was stopped at a red light and was rearended. His shoes were still on the floor board of the car. He was only 16 years old. The guy did serve some time, but a few years later he was hired on for a job and guess who is immediate supervisor was. My other half brother, the one that was killed blood brother. He said it was very difficult to accept that but he did. Odd thing was, the drunk driver never knew he was working under the brother of the kid he"d killed years earlier. The drunk is long since dead and gone, but I still have my half brother!

Even though he poisoned both dogs, they only charged him with one count of animal cruelty. The judge gave him 18 months which was the max allowed for that charge.

he didn't get the 9.5 yrs for the dogs, witness intimadation was his downfall,..as it should be..

How long has he been gone from here? I guess I dont remember him.

As for drunk driving, Texting is probably more dangerous, but it will be a long time before anything is done about that cause ever cop, politician and all their kids do it all the time.

49 years ago a drunk Catholic priest killed my fiance and her sister. Every Sunday I say a prayer that he is burning in hell.

August 23rd, 1965 - a day I will NEVER FORGET. My first Wife who was 3 1/2 months pregnant, had gone out shopping with a girlfriend (my Wife didn't drive). They were T-boned on the right passenger door by a drunk driver with an arrest record longer than your arm & had already had his licence suspended by the Court (he was awaiting sentencing for a Felony Hit-and-Run accident). My Wife and unborn child were instantly killed & the girlfriend, who had to be cut from the wreckage by the Fire Dept., was in a coma for over a month.

At the trial, the Judge (Woman) found the drunk GUILTY of TWO counts of VOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER and along with his previous record, sentenced him to 25 years to Life with NO chance of parole until AFTER he had served a MINIMUM of 25 years. The drunk was in his late 50's to early 60's , so I doubt if he ever saw the outside of a prison again.

Have to agree with you Onefarmer. His comments went on and on and yet nothing seemed to happen for a long time.

Finally karma and the law caught up with him. Don"t think he"ll stand a chance in prison.
