geting ready for work, watching andy griffith show,,where they [darling's] were playing on the programs,,like their banjo music,,,, what are some of the programs you listen to, with similar music...
 
Ironically... Thats My Wifs favorite Show, and go up to (Mayberry) Mt Airy NC. every Fall to The reunion,, fantastic, If you've NEVER been You'd like it! Larry KF4LKU
 
I would like to go there someday,I watch that show whenever I see it on, Andy met Mr darling when he was putting water in his old truck at the town horse trough, they came into town to pick up the son in law from the bus.station.he was coming home from the service,Ask your wife if I am remembering it right!
 
I was way too young for Andy Griffith, but while watching the beginning of the clip, I knew the voice. The guy with the moonshine jug is Uncle Jesse aka Denver Pyle from the Dukes of Hazzard.

I just clicked on the link rrlund referred to. That's one episode that I missed. I always liked the one called "Dooley". Just in case there is anyone who doesn't know yet, "the boys" were actually a professional bluegrass band known as "The Dillards". They have several recordings on YouTube also.
 
rick, you and others your age would be suprised, to see where some of todays/earlier t-v actor's played on old shows to get their start, provided they are still around..
