How will an antique tractor site survive without pictures of his roof and stories about his junky old Hyundai.

His critical assessments of everyone and everything will be missed? Not really.

He needed something meaningful to do besides type.

Now, I ain't the man who makes the decisions on who can stay and who can go. And I ain't even the man standin' NEXT to the man who decides. In fact, I ain't even the man next to the man, standin' next to the man who decides. Or the woman who wields the skillet, as it may be.

But Dave never really did anything to me that I couldn't overlook or forgive. And I hope he feels the same way towards me.

But as I said, I'm not the person who skilleted Dave...nor would I want to have that responsibility, even for an hour. THEIR house, THEIR rules...or, as one of my old hippie friends used to say years ago, "It's THEIR world, and I'm only walkin' through it..."

What is to keep dave from getting another ips address, like hotmail, and changing his name?

What is to prevent dave from reading these posts?

IMO, rules are rules, like them or leave them.

To date, I haven't had my hands slapped by Kim. Has anyone else been sent to Kim's office for being bad?

Isn't it something, we seem to miss people more after they are gone?

Get over it.

rrlund is correct.

I never saw the post, but it was sent to me and yes, I thought it was funny. It wasn't the context of the post, but that he impersonated someone. Impersonating someone is a huge breach of the rules and really, in my opinion, Kim is pretty lenient.

I did contact Kim on Dave's behalf and got a long reply from Kim as to why he was banned. Apparently, that post was the last straw.

I'm sorry it happened, but this is Kim's site and she made the call.

I enjoyed the pictures he posted as well as learning a little bit about Germany BUT he could get obnoxious now and then but it didn"t bother me. Sort of like the TV, change the channel if you don"t like what"s on. That being said he was obviously booted because of something or things he had to say. After a short hiatus he was let back in and in short order was booted again. A smart person would know that if your already on thin ice then you will be under the microscope upon return. Either he wasn"t smart, or he just didn"t give a doodoo.

He used a fake name to post something that some do gooder thought was an insult to Miss Nancy as I understand it. She didn't even see it,somebody sent it to her. Turns out it was an inside joke that she got and thought was funny. It crossed the line with Miss Kim though.

That's what I got from a short lived post right after it happened anyway. For what it's worth.

rrlund got it right. I think he was kind of on "thin ice" anyhow, and it was the final straw. I'm wondering if the short-lived second go-around was done from a different IP, and was poofed when the powers that be discovered it. In any event, it was short enough that I didn't even see it, and I hang around on here a lot.

All I saw was a response to Larry's post in the basement. Wasn't complicated or contraversial,I wasn't even sure it was him. Thought maybe his name had become public domain or something. I didn't even see his roof pic post. Next time I looked, the one post that I did see from him was gone. Didn't take long.
