question about New Holland skid steer

A good friend of mine asked me to post a question ,he has a New Holland 845.B skid loader, the glow plows sre working, but when it sits for a week or so it is hard to start,he never had the problem before,He is thinking fuel pump.and wanted me to ask you all what you thought,Thanks,,,,, Larry

More likely a fuel drainback issue... an airleak in a line somewhere. I'm not familiar with that machine.... but if it's like earlier models there should be an electric lift pump probably with a suction filter below the pump and a final filter above the pump.

I have a 7.3 powerstroke and it always started good. It got down to the high 20ies and I had to cycle the glow plugs 3 or 4 times to get it to start. I did a tune up and had 5 of the 8 plugs not working. Make sure that all the glow plugs are working 100 per cent.

I thought I remember there being 2 filters, and only one is really obvious to change. Sometimes the other causes hard starting when not changed. Or air getting in line.
