I felt fine yesterday and had a busy day. Did not get into the house until late and was bone tired. Wife had a big pot of chili on the stove slow cooking. So I eat a big bowl. In about fifteen minutes I was sick as a dog. Throwing up and trots. I have not throw up 5-6 times in my life. I was up all night.

This morning I was a little better but a close friend that had gone to a sale with me Sat. called and ask me to come and help do his chores. He was in bed with the same type of thing. So I did my chores and then ended up doing all of his. I did not get home until noon.

I have been getting worst all day. If I lay down then it all want to come out the top. If I set then it wants out the bottom. The cool air outside seems to help. SO I road around a little just before dark in the pickup. Neighbor was out by the road a we talked for a little bit.

He claims that apple cider vinegar will help settle my stomach. Say it has to be in a glass jug too. My wife is going after some right now as we speak. Have any of you ever heard of this???? If you have how much do I need to drink??? I would drink battery acid right now if it would make me feel better.

Never heard of it used to settle a stomach, but it helps sinuses
and stuffy noses.
Just a shot is all we ever took.

Just saw on the news a little while ago that the flu season is starting a month early this year. An expert on the TV said if you get it you're going to be down and out for a week. Don't know if this helps you feel better or not. They also said that it is the worst right now in the South Eastern US.They didn't mention Eastern Iowa. Good luck!

Probiotics are always good for intestinal problems and Vinegar is as close as you can get on the Farm..!!!

Good luck..sounds bad..!!

I had food poisoning one time and cured it with epsom salts mixed as stout and bitter as I could make myself drink it.

I have been taking two table spoons of Apple Cider Vinegar twice a day for years now. Morning and at night, i use the Bragg Brand in the glass. Its good for many things, read up on it....

If you can get over the taste
Mix half water drink twice daily.
It breaks down the fats, lowers blood pressure.
The chili and flu colited. Apple cider has just
got to be healty

Well the wife got home shortly after I posted. She got a quart of it for $2.99 in a glass jug. I did not bother to measure it I just chugged about a 1/4 of the bottle. YES it is nasty!!!! LOL The bad thing is I have drank worse. Some home made bath tub beer in Nam comes to mind. I glass and sick for a week.

It seems to be helping some. I still feel rotten but I am not belching all the time now. If there is a funeral plan made I will try to post before the event. LAMO. My buddy said we should try for a group rate. He feels just as bad.

Don't know about it for the flu, but my Dad had carbon monoxide poisoning when I was a kid. The 'doctor' (unorthodox chiropractor) said drink vinegar! Seemed to work immediately!

Try my 3 day cure... works wonders ...

Drink the brine out of your pickle jar. It will settle your stomach and also eliminate muscle cramping. It works for me, especially the Sweet&Sour brine. Maybe cause it has apple vinigar in it LOL.

You're more of a man than I am, tried drinking it once even mixed it with other liquids and just can't do it. I do take apple cider pills, have problems with athletes foot occasionally. Usually just pour the ac vinegar in the tub while showering to cure the foot problem, now just the pills. Have noticed I don't get the colds/flus like I used to. chris

" Wife had a big pot of chili on the stove slow cooking. So I eat a big bowl. In about fifteen minutes I was sick as a dog."

I suppose you did mention in passing you were not insured and your assets were willed to the lost dogs home.??

I think the key is you and a friend went to a sale, and have the same issue..........food poisoning if you both ate at the sale? None of that stuff or conditions are ever inspected.

It usually takes 18 hours before food poisoning sets in. Think back to what you ate 18 - 20 hours before the "event". I don't think that the chili caused the "event"; certainly not in that short period of time.

Apple vinegar and honey work great for a lot of things alone or together. The rawer you can get it, the less processed that is, the better. Honey out of the comb or vinegar that's unpasteurized with lots of "floaties" in it is best.

Hope you feel better. I'd agree with those thinking it was something you drank or ate at the sale trip. Maybe the kid at the Quickee Mart hasn't been cleaning the coffee maker or Juan the illegal field work hacked a loogie onto the head of lettuce in your burger.

Take care of yourself. We just buried my last Great Aunt yesterday. Healthy crusty old cuss that we expected to make 110 and has already outlived some of her nefiews and neices.
She caught that vile flu bug last Wed, didn"t feel like eating on Thursday , went to the hospital by ambulance Friday morning and passed away Friday afternoon.

If you have been vomiting and had the runs you are dehydrated. (Makes you feel really bad and if severe may cause problems w/heart rhythm etc.) Drink Gatorade or some Pedialyte to refresh your fluids and restore the electrolytes you have lost.
More than likely you have been food-poisoned. Most often, after the bad stuff passes you will be ok, but if you aren't back up to snuff after a day or so please see a Medical Doctor. You may need an antibiotic to kill the bug and may need a medicine to slow down your digestive system and allow you to hold on to food long enough to get some nutrition benefit from it.
