The local sale started yesterday.I got $6.60 a bale for this alfalfa.I only took 20.It brought $4.00 out of the field.Looks like the rest will stay in the shed until a good snow or cold snap.Lotta people still grazing pastures here.73 and sunny today.Went to the Christmas tree lot today in a T shirt.First time for everything.

Our weekly farming paper has an ad for grass silage, loaded out of
the pit for £35/ tonne(£1=$1.65) normally it would be £20/tonne.
Winter fodder is real scarce over here due to so much stock
having to be housed during the so-called 'summer'.... instead of us
getting Global warming we are getting Global wetting!
