Ive replaced coil, plugs, distributor cap, rotor bug, wires, etc. Put in carburator kit. Have spark but won't even fire at all. Used starter fluid, but nothing.

any suggestions on what to try next?

it seems you thought it was electrical then had second thoughts. Check valve train to establish correct timing, check fuel at fuel bowl. start tractor.

What model is the tractor? Name plate should be on the dash/gauge area. Is it a distributor or magneto ignition? Where do you have spark? Help us to help you. We need more info. gobble

Rub the points with a piece of 320 wet or dry until they're shiny then see if you have fire to your plugs. If you have a distributor you need to to use a volt meter or test lite to see if you have battery voltage to your coil. With the points open you should have voltage on both terminals when your ignition switch is on. If there's no voltage run a separate wire from your battery to your coil then see if the tractor will start. If it starts you need to check for voltage to your switch could be a broken wire. You shouldn't throw on new parts until you do a few checks. Hal

Have you had it running beforehand.?
Is the compression ok.?
Are you getting fuel to the carb.?
Are adjustments correct.?
You have spark where.?
No new points so is the gap correct.?Check condenser.?
Have you connected wires to plugs correctly.?
Did you set a plug on metal and see if it is jumping gap while turning over which must coincide with the rotor button position.
Do they coincide with the valve openings,? Firing Order.
Is your battery earth the same as coil side to dist.
Is the battery fully charged.?
Something to go on with.

I have had the same problem with some of my Case tractors. Take out the points and condenser. Then use fine grit sandpaper and clean the distributor base where the points set. Its probablt got a film of oil on it and wont let the points get a good ground.. Seen this many times... Doug

My 1950 did the saem thing, and my brother came by asked what I was doing. Told him, he sked who did the points. I said I did, he smiled, sked for a screw driver and re-set points correctly, He said Try her! and she fired right up. I learned that my electricalal work might look right, but it ain't.

What model tractor is it?. Is it gas or diesel? It sounds like you have a fuel problem but I would first make sure the rotor was in proper aleinment with the no. 1 plug and you still have the correct firing order for your model after changing the wires. I have a 59 210B and the firing order is 1-4-3-2.

An engine needs 4 things in order for it to run,

1. Fuel
2. Air
3. Compression
4. Ignition at the correct time.
