Where would you guys buy truck tires?

Are there any good places you guys suggest buying tires cash and carry, possibly on their online store? Haven't done it before and wondering how well it works (shipping, etc). I Have the tire machine, been mounting ones from discount tire typically. Bought machine used and has worked out great. It gets used 90% of the time for repairs to mower, mini skid steer tires, etc. after 5pm for crews for next day.

I've checked around at discount tire places and find i can buy them just as cheap from my local goodyear/best one tire store. The discount places start out cheaper, but by the time you add 12 dollar valve stems and balancing there just as high or higher than the local store.I get better warrany there to.

Sorry, pickup tires, usually 245-75-16's load e's. Plus trailer
tires too for 5200 and 7000# axles actually. I do actually need
some 22.5 steers now that you said that... More money.

I buy them localy. The cennex station here can beat Farm and Fleet on the same tire. When you buy at home your money stays at home, when you buy on line your money leaves your home area and it is never spent here again. Also if you have a problem with your tire you will be face to face with the one that sold it to you,not a keyboard. I say spend your money at home and help strengthern your local area.

Being a farm, and a business, I'm trying to get my dad to get an account at the local wholesaler, U.S. Oil (atleast it used to be, now they've got a new name. US something or other....)

Here it is....

The savings over retail is substantial, even if we still have to have them mounted somewhere. Local garage I go to will mount/dismount for $5 cash.

So far no go, so I go where the best price is...

Oliverguy, Discount Tire, Just bought a set of Michelins for my F350 Crew cab 4x4. 16s! $1050 out the Door W/ the lifetime warranty. Best deal I found, short of finding a set of New take-offs!

Buy local and do your homework. There is always a catch from a discount place. I bought new Michelin's from Sam's. When one of them failed I went to W/M and they said no. So did a local Michelin's dealer. Seems that the ones from Sam's are proprietary to Sam's. Buyer beware.

i just buy local, or regional, there is more to a tire deal than the price, if you buy online you got to pay for them being shipped to you, [ unless its walmart] second, when you take your tires to a place to have them mounted and balanced, [ i can mount, but i cant balance them ] your going to pay more since the place didnt get to sell you the tires too, when you add it all up its less expensive to just buy and mount all in the same store or shop

Buy locally. Usually the price includes new valve stems, mounting and balancing. Also, if the tires fail prematurely for whatever reason, you've got someone who will get you back on the road quickly.
