loader size

We have a 2wd John Deere 4050. Looking for a nice loader for this tractor. Found a good deal on a Ta 45 but was wondering if this would be to big of a loader for just a 4050? Whats your thoughts

We had a TA42 on a 80HP front wheel drive tractor and it was almost too heavy.

If the 45 loader is heavier yet it may be too much for a 2wd.

I'd keep looking.

The 4050 chassis is much heavier than an 80HP chassis. Wish you knew what 80 HP it was.
Outside of running a loader in a concrete feedlot or picking up bales of hay on a dry level field. You will never consider a loader on a 2WD instead of a 4WD once you operated both.

If you are asking me what tractor, it was a Long.

If your not asking I guess I don"t know what you are saying.

I know the 4050 is a heavier tractor but so is a 45 loader.

You can also find loaders on CL. Look for a JD 148, 158 or 265 loader. I also have seen a few at auctions this time a year.
