Looking at a NAPCO Tractor. 4x4 and 4 wheel steer with a bucket on front and a backhoe on the back. Thinking these were made in the 60's.
This one starts good and looks good , but won't move.
Torque converter??????????
What is a fella looking at as far as what may be wrong and what about getting parts. These parts may be common to other trucks and or tractors.
This tractor has the Detroit engine.
Thanks for any help.

They were built with off the shelf parts. They had a hydrostat trans for forward and reverse controlled by foot pedals. Most likely the hydro is bad. If it was run low on oil,had picked up water in the fluid, or was constantly operated in too high a gear, any of these will kill a hydro. It probably could be rebuilt or retrofitted to a more modern hydro....but it won't be cheap
