Anyone have any knowledge, good or bad, on this particular tractor? Considering trading my 686 IH in on this tractor, Want something for feeding cows in the winter with a warm cab.

They where built in England. It would be a little smaller than your IH 686. I know it is rated about the same horse power but the CIH 4210 is a utility tractor where your IH 686 is more of a row crop tractor.

I would only think about it if it was MFWD with the cab. The 2wd with a cab are helpless in mud or snow. The cab messes up the weight distribution some how.

If in good shape, go for it. I'd buy one.

Brakes and parking brake tend to be issues, make sure they work good.

If it has the 8x4 trans you have 100% mechanical drive, 16x8 or 8x8 there is a hyd clutch pack.

All three transmissions are fine for loader work, with speed matched F/R shift, but if it's the factory XL cab the shifters are all on the right hand side. Only way to get LH shuttle is with the 8x8.

If it's got a loader, anything that size without FWA is going to be about worthless.

It's the same tractor as the 84 series IH, with some updates.
