v 10 ford spark plug

did it blow it out, or did you bugger it up when you were replacing it?

if it blew it out, there's two fixes, one is with a helicoil, the other is with a HELP! kit#42045

any autoparts store carries them, but they are not cheap, but they are a very quick repair,

i sell quite a few, esp to the older motors that are not worth sending to a shop ,

besides most shops don't have the longer tools it takes to put helicoil inserts in the triton motors

then you will need a new coil too, it breaks the hold down ear off. use the short boot that came with the help kit

The help kit is junk ! Fixed a few of them the the help kit blew out . Few of them were not fixable after using the HELP kit, ruined the head . I have two insert kits I use in my shop. theoversize insert works when others have blew out . repair runs 200-300 depending on access to plug , includes insert, plug and coil pack .

I have 2 of my vehicles that I have repaired.A 5.4 and a V10.They have both gone over a hundred thousand miles after the repair and are still going.I used a kit from a company called time sert.It uses a steel insert instead of a heli coil. The kit has all tools and instructions.I think it cost me about $300.

The cheap kit that the guys are showing usually will not work very long. Then when they blow out you need a new head as they mess the hole up too much for the good inserts to work. So spend $200-300 and have a good fix or spend $50 and hope it does not cost you $2500 for a new cylinder head and labor. Your call. I know what I do.
