John deere bearings ?

Does anyone no where to buy the bearings inside the clutch puuly of a john deere A at a good price it is not a part number that john deere handles anymore according to their web site

Any good supply house should be able to match that bearing. John Deere does not make it's own bearings. They buy them from some bearing manufacturer for re-packaging into JD boxes. I doubt that any bearing manufacturer makes a special bearing just for JD.

Assuming you want the pulley bearings?
Is the end of the crank worn? All too often the operator never read the manual and leaves the engine operating for extended periods with the clutch disengaged.

Just take that part# to your local NAPA.They can cross it and provibe the same bearing(Fafnir,Timkin, etc) for average25% to 40% less than JD.

I wish I had the cross reference book that the local Deere dealer had. They could cross reference any bearing number to a Deere number and vice versa. Whoever got that book when they closed got a gem.

If you snoop around on the Timken site they have their complete interchange catalog online.

If it is JD8620 as JD Sellers says, it will cross to Hyatt RA99209 or Bower J70-2436. Probably will need a good bearing supply house to find that one though or just go to JD. On some bearings and seals they are pretty competitive.
