Any one else feeling under the weather?

Has any one else being feeling sick? I've had the stomach flu since last Saturday. My stomach area keeps growling all day and I can't eat much with out feeling miserable.
I blame it on my foot surgery I had 7 weeks ago. I can't get around that well just yet and put on about 10 pounds because of this. This isn't the day I want to starve myself but if it makes me feel better I'll do it.

I just got home from the hospital yesterday; spent 24 hours in an observation unit while they ran a bunch of tests that showed that I didn't have any serious heart trouble.

Seems to be a flare-up of my old Hiatal Hernia. I'll be eating light today and taking things real easy until I feel better.

Supposed to be going to physical therapy for an torn Achilles tendon, but that will have to wait until I feel better.

I've been kind of under the weather for awhile too. Earlier this week I had a not so pleasant day but I still made it outside to get a little work done. I quit the statin cholesterol med and felt quite a bit better for awhile but now something's churning things up again. I'm on an anti-inflammatory for the knee and I'm suspecting that's the culprit. Knee hurts like he!! when the stuff wears off so I'm a little reluctant to lay off it. There, now I've had my cry time. LOL! Hope you get to feeling well soon.Jim

Nope feel real good and get out and get alot of exercise every day here on my farm.Wake up with alot of aches and pains but the more I move around and work the better I feel.

I have just recovered from a 10 day bout with some sort of head/chest infection. It is going around work like gang busters and I succumbed.

It started out as a sore throat but quickly developed into a sinus and eventually chest infection and held on much longer than anything that I have contacted in the last 25 years or so.

Don't want to hijack this thread, so just a line to remind all you over 60 types to get a shingles shot if you had chicken pox. Some of my friends came down with shingles and they are REALLY MISERABLE.

evilboweivel,
If it keeps on, you better go to the doctor.

What you just described sounds like when I had influenza that turned into pnuemonia last year. Two weeks of really ill... weak as a kitten for about 7 weeks afterward. Nothing to mess around with - only antibiotics knocked it out of commission.

My boss gave me a nasty cold a couple of days ago which I didn't need. Always keep my throat and head covered and usually don't get sick during the winter months. Probably some imported cold strain the government is spreading around.

I had a very bad sinus headache yesterday which made my teeth and back of the head hurt, too. I had to run combine yesterday so that made it very miserable. Fortunately it all dissipated late afternoon so today should be enjoyable. Wife is feeling similar symptoms today but hopefully will be alright later.

Youth deer season was about 15 or so days ago and my nephew came in coughing and with a runny nose and by Monday I had a cold or ??. Took vituman (sp)C and zinc pills and been eating a lot of garlic and hotter foods and doing well now. He wanted to hunt yesterday and was asked if he was still hacking and was told yes so we told him no because we would never see a deer with him coughing so much

Yup, got the flu Mon night. Even the soles of my feet ached. Never vomitted but my wife and daughter did. Mine was the other end. This AM is first I feel good. Gut kept bubbling like a volcano.

Sort of, been 7 weeks since my second knee replacement and still in pain. But I'm ready to get off the darn pain pills. They really stop you up. Doc is proposing manipulation under anesthesia. Doesn't sound fun.

I am however very grateful for being healthy other than that and realize that many vets are returning with far worse.

So happy Thanksgiving to all and lets all be thankful we live in the greatest nation on earth!!!

I have been feeling weak for about a month. Going next week to see if it is because of my cancer. Or I just need a vacation to get away from it all.Sat around for most of the year. Doing a little work. The last two months I have been working seven days a week.

Gordo, you are so right. Dad got shingles two years ago at age 86 and he's never really recovered. I didn't think anything would slow that man down till this came along. Marilyn and I both got the shot at his request. Jim

Boy I sure am, woke up just before midnight on Mon. with chest and left arm pains. Went to hospital. They admitted me and gave me drugs to control the pain. Did two stress tests (treadmill with monitors to heart) finding nothing wrong.
I had to push them to make a decision, they finally gave me a prescription for pain and sent me home on Tuesday afternoon.
A note to others, they want you to call an ambulance if you feel heart attact symptoms, even if you have somebody to drive you. I got in a little "trouble" over this but it was not a big deal. I bet it will be a big deal if I do it again.
I'm only resting over the hoilday and weekend.
Take care all.

Yes, both my wife and myself. Coughing, aching. etc.
Tues. my wife was making breakfast when she developed chest pain, sweating and tingling in her fingers. I loaded her up and headed for the hospital, red lights and siren. I am asst. fire chief of our township. I had the 911 center notify the hosp that I was on my way in. Anyhow, the ER doctor done a bunch of tests and everything tested ok. They then did a Cardiac Cat Scan. She has pneumonia and her heart is fine.
Antibiotics and cough medicine.
I called my Dr and also am on antibiotics and cough medicine. We both feel much better.
