I am guessing you are cooking. I am up fixing My signature Red Rice and Sausage. We have a big gathering at My Sisters place usually about 60 people. They BBQ a hog and lots of fun and a turkey shoot. I'll take some pictures and post them. I'll take a few shots of the ground just for you. Hope You and Yours have a Happy Thanksgiving. I certainly have a lot to be thankful for.

RBnSC and Larry@Stines,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Actually been up since 2:30 am...we've been sick for about 3 days around here - so we went to bed too darn early last night. Everybody seems to finally be feeling better today though! :)

I'm not cooking for our family until Saturday when our married daughter and her family can come too. Will be doing turkey, stuffing, and all the fixin's then.

Today we are just going to go to town and grab a rotissere chicken, so I get the whole day off.

RBnSC,
In earlier reply, forgot some stuff...

Red Rice and Sausage sounds good - bet it is spicy. I like it that so many guys on here cook; it both surprises and delights me.

Do they roast the hog on a spit? Have not seen one of those for years. Seems they all do them in a small metal unit now.

Look forward to the pics! And sure, if there is something cool on the ground - post that too. :)

And last, but for sure NOT LEAST... yes, we all have so much to be thankful for! God gave us every last thing we have. So easy to forget all the gifts we are given - nice to have a day when thankfulness is the sole focus.

Not so spicy as there are so many to feed. No spit have not done it that way in 25 years so much easier to do it in a cooker. BIL does it now I started it many years ago. I wish I had pictures of previous years one year we had an excavator and bulldozer digging a pond in the back yard and we built a four wheeler track. We had a blast the Kids still talk about it.
