I wish we could just cut and paste pics on this site, at least from a smart phone! Uploading sucks, on my dial up it takes 25 minutes to upload 1 pic, I can text and email a pic from my iPhone in about 15 seconds. Would be nice if we could do that on this site. Maybe it will change some day, I miss posting pics!

Not just for me. I'm sure alot of people on here have smart phones, my desk top has been a dust collector for over a year! I may be wrong, but who would want a laptop or desk top, when you can do the same thing from a smart phone?? A computer in you pocket,!

I agree! I love taking pics with my phone. Ok I take all my pics with my phone but it is a pain to upload them. I agree it would be nice if they could but I understand the amount of work behind it.

Same with my pockets Zach! That was a figure of speech. If I'm haying, I put the phone in the tractor tool box. If I'm sawing wood, I leave the phone on my ATV, if I'm at work during the day I leave the phone in my truck. But, I can get on this site from anywhere anytime. Try that with a desktop! Lol, just a little common sense here,

posting pics really isn't that hard here, and if i can figure it out so can a gorilla, im not a computer person, they didn't even have 'em back when i went to school, well i do think there was 1, but it took up a whole room by itself and was climate controlled, id almost be afraid for it to be too easy to post pics, this page would wind up just another version of Facebook with postings of all kind of stuff, we do get Ot often but usually its still farm or tractor related in some way, if its a little time consuming to post it insures we see good pics, that a lot of folks will enjoy looking at not wind up seeing pictures from just 1 poster to 1 other poster about nothing to do with our hobby at all

sounds good, my eyes are to point I cant see big screen well, only image phone screen I could see hardly anything, guess depends on how old we/you are :)

(quoted from post at 03:32:12 11/21/12) Phone pics are lame and lousy. IMO.
Don't need em here.
Post the right way or don't post.
Simple eh?
he only reason phone pictures are lousy is because you have a cheap a$$ed lousy phone, doh, doh! Some phone cameras are better than YOUR dedicated camera. Go back to your corner! :x

It would also help those of us that don't have Internet. The only option here is a Hughesnet dish and none of the neighbors were impressed. I would love to have other options, but no company is going to spend bucks to run technology out here when its just me and the cattle in the section. I use my smartphone for everything. If I want to use the laptop I have to dig it out and tether it to my phone. Why not just use the phone and save that step?

If you see a picture from me you can bet I thought it was really important. It is amazing to me that everyone talks about how big their tv is and I use my iPhone for all of my Internet. It's only bad during winter when my hands are so chapped that the touch screen doesn't work. That makes finding tractor parts a little tough!

Than how do you know a iPhone dosent take good pics???
They take great pics and videos, just wish I could post from the phone rather than computer, But people could still post from a computer too! I'm posting this from my phone also!! Lol

I am on dial up so I'll post a picture and count how long it takes. May depend on the size etc of the picture. Well it took less the 2 minutes for this picture

I can understand your problem, as slow Internet can make many activities a pain. Luckily, I have been able to get better Internet for home, and always have great when I'm at school.
I also understand your sentiment about the difficulty in posting pictures straight from the iPad. I have all but given up on my digital camra because the iPads battery is SO much better, and the quality is no worse. As it is, I just transfer to my computer as I would have to with a digital camra, and chalk it up to the list of things I find that a computer is better at than an iPad.
Whale your at it, get apple to teach their iPad Farmall, and Allis Chalmers are spelled correct!

That's why I use the phone too! We only have dial up internet and it stinks, I also use phone for everything. Wow, your post is the same as I was thinking!

Old, if my dial up worked that fast, I wouldn't even had made this post?? Mine don't work that fast lol

Maybe who your with or how old your computer is or how big your pictures are. Now if this picture does not break your computer screen you will be lucky and yes I will time this one also. This one took less then 1 minute. By the way the dog in the pictured died a little over a year ago and he was one of my best friends and he was just under 7 years old

No old, didn't break the phone screen! sorry u lost you dog, gee he's not that bad looking!!! Lol

smart phone won't work for me. fingers are to fat, and it's to hard to teach this old dog new tricks.just now somewhat understanding this machine.

I'm on dial up too. You have to make sure a picture is less than .5mb to upload. It usually only takes me about a minute to upload a picture.

Smart phones, at least my apple iPhone are pretty easy to use! It's a touch screen also. I found it easier to use than my computer! Lol

Smart phone? How can you tell it's a smart phone? Doesn't it kinda depend on who's on the other end of the line?

Get the photobucket app. E-mail your pic to your photobucket account then paste the link here.

Simple, I do it all the time with my samsung.

Old, if you crop out the blank areas, the picture would be even smaller and take even less time to upload.

Do you really want the whole story on that 8N???? I'll give you to short story. Guy who was raised in NY city did that. He was told do not drive along the hill side but he did any how. Tree saved his life but still bused up his knee on the clutch pedal side. Took me and the guy who owned it 2 days to get it back off the tree with out it flipping over and down the hill

I loaded a couple pictures I took with my wannabe smart phone and downloaded it to photobucket. Once it's on photo bucket, it's easy to post it on here. If you have a true smart phone, it should be easy to do.
