IH 11566 Hydraulic Remote Spool Valves

Man...I am going to have make this my home page!!!!

Small problem this time...

I got a pretty good leak out one of my hydraulic Spool valve (see attached borrowed picture) - facing the rear - its the left spool valve.

Its got a flat head screw in there - which I turned and seemed to adjust the rate of fall for my 3pt - kinda weird tho...I turned the screw 5 turns tighty and ran it for awhile and then turned it 5 back as my 3pt seemed to drop way slower than I'd like.

What do those screws adjust? Is the leak probably a Oring? Anyone know of a rebuild kit?

I'm about half way done my last field for sub soiling and then its power wash this thing and get it in the shop...

The screw adjust the detent pressure of the valve. Since yours is leaking it is very likely that the pin that unlatches the detent balls has slid forward. That is what allows the oil to leak out and the detent will no longer work. With the pin out of place turning the adjustment screw will have no affect.

So uhhh...what do I do to fix it?

Is there a kit? hopefully afermarket? What would I keyword search for?

Or...is it just pull the valve and find and match and replace orings?

Hi
Can't see the picture but sounds like what has happened on implement spools on the 966 I worked on. The oil is comming out of a little plug in the back of the spool as you face the tractor?. if so according to our case dealer there are a couple of parts and an O ring to replace that ware.
Think the parts are about $130 a spool here in Canada plus fitting time, don't know if jobbers are available . both leaked on this so the guy just decided to add oil and wash the tractor more often as he spent $1500 plus on it while it was here with other issues lol.
Regards Robert
