Turned off engine and tractor won't start when I turned key on. When key turned, no lights, no click, no craking. Acts like there is no power. Gear shift is i neutral, seat switch depressed, PTO not engaged. New battery put in 1 week past.
How do I determine what is wrong and how do get the tractor going again.

Re check your battery connections and cables where the connect to the tractor, (grounding point, and starter solonoid). If those are good and can carry an electrical load rather than just having continuity, you will have to look for something like a on'off solonoid that powers the electrical system. Not that familiar with the greeen ones LOL

Once you have confirmed that your battery and starter connections are all good you will need a wiring diagram of the starter solenoid circuit. You can then start tracing for an open switch or whatever. Don't just start guessing, use a voltmeter or test lamp and determine where the problem is. May not be electrical, could be a switch out of adjustment or a broken switch actuation mechanism.

You may have answered your own question. Those battery clamps that were used, seem to short out with a battery change easy. The postive mostly.Might work today and not tomorrow and then work again.
