My father is law is repairing his New Holland 66 Baler, He cant find the timing marks on the clutch hub, he would like to know are the marks a raised mark, or chiseled in, what should he look for and where on the clutch hub? Thanks Everyone

for some reason, even if I type it out it does not post correctly..says it is disallowed...must be a filter here in the forum...do a search in google like this... new holland 66 timing and it will be the first or second link

Dont have book here but just set so needles enter chamber as plunger passes point where needles enter chamber on compression stroke.

the plunger( on the baler frame with plunger arm up) marks and feed bar should be chisel marks, the knotter drive gear and clutch are useally stamped dots like a center punch makes cnt

Turn star wheel an release clutch than turn flywheel in proper direction an needles should enter as plunger just begins to pass point where needles enter on compression stroke. If you need to retard or advance timing you do that by changing chain that drives round clutch. Turn it through couple tying cycles by hand to be sure.
