8n tractor drawbar

I have purchased a swinging drawbar for my 1949 8n tractor. I have no bolts or bolt holes on the underbelly that will hold this "NEW" product. Could it be that my early 1949 8n isn't to have this aftermarket hitch?

My early 49 8N has the holes. Differentials without holes require a different set-up. The 9n,2n,8n board here has an individual "The Old Hokie" that makes a set-up that should work for you. The post is less than two weeks old. Gerard

Sounds like you have a 9N or 2N which did not have thew holes and have a 3 speed trans the 8N has them and has a 4 speed

Itis a 1949 8n witha 4-speed trans. but havent seen another one without the bolt hole pattern.
