This is for oldtanker. The 40 hour work week was approved by the Fair Labor standards act of 1938. You can look it up on the internet. Ford started the assembly line. The is a lot of good workers in unions and non unions. Just like the government and any other sector. And there is bad in unions and non union companies just like the government and other sectors. Just you paycheck is better when you work union. And I don't understand why people would rather work for less.

Henry Ford ws doing to 40 hour week and paying his workers enough so that thye could afford to buy what they made long before 1938. The unions didn't invent the 40 hour week.
